What you will be doing
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare test samples (Aluminum)according to industry and Hydro standards.
- Conduct mechanical testing including tensile yield and elongation tests as well as flare testing ensuring adherence to testing procedures and compliance.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior and compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor and/or Quality Supervisor.
What will make you successful
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred
- Familiarity with quality testing and inspection procedures is a plus
- Strong math problem-solving and computer skills
- Ability to understand and comply with lab and company quality and safety documentation
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings specifications and industry standards
- Skilled in operating test and inspection equipment
- Capable of operating a band saw and CNC machinery
