Job Summary
Job Description
Saint Lukes Hospice House is seeking a full-time Hospice Nurse. At Saint Lukes Hospice House you will provide end of life care and symptoms management to patients.
Job Description
Part-time 2 12-hour shifts per week day shift rotating days and weekends (3 weekend shifts in a 6-week period required)
Provides direct nursing care to patients with terminal illness.
Management and coordination of care to include both the patient and family.
Completes initial assessment of physical emotional and spiritual status.
Aggressive pain and symptom management including frequent medication administration and adjustments. Management of IV infusions and titration of drips.
Provides education and support related to end of life and imminent death.
Open sensitive and non-judgmental presence accepting of different beliefs cultures and values.
Uses electronic documentation to describe symptoms interventions physical assessment education and support provided
MO and KS RN license required Associates in Nursing
The RN will work in the Hospice house and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
