Inserter Sweeper Mail Processing Production Support Entry-Level Manufacturing
Pay Rate:$15.00 per hour
Location: Erlanger 41018
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Full-time based on production demand
Position Overview
A high-volume production and mail-processing operation is seeking a dependable Inserter Sweeper to support automated insertion equipment and production workflows. This role plays a critical part in maintaining mail quality accuracy and throughput while supporting Inserter Operators and production leadership. The position offers a temp-to-permanent opportunity for reliable candidates who demonstrate strong attention to detail and consistent performance.
This is a hands-on physical role in a fast-paced manufacturing and mail production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review job tickets to verify client requirements and proper inserter configuration
- Assist Inserter Operators with the operation of high-speed mail insertion equipment
- Inspect finished mail pieces for correct folding sealing window placement sequencing and overall quality
- Sort inserted mail in accordance with USPS and internal processing requirements
- Support production goals on high-volume jobs including:
- #10 envelopes ranging from approximately 120000 to 150000 pages inserted
- 6 x 9 jobs ranging from approximately 220000 to 250000 pages inserted
- Assist with job changeovers consistently meeting targeted changeover times of 20 minutes or less
- Maintain focus while multitasking in a high-production environment
- Identify and report mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions to the Production Supervisor or on-site service technician
- Adhere to all established standard operating procedures (SOPs) safety guidelines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
- Notify Production Supervisor of any quality concerns or deviations
- Perform additional production or support duties as assigned
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Frequent pushing and maneuvering of carts containing large paper rolls
- Standing walking and repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a production-floor environment with machinery and moving equipment
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand speak read and follow instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in mail processing print production manufacturing or warehouse environments
- Familiarity with inserter machines mailing operations or production equipment is a plus but not required
