What you will do

We are currently seeking an experienced and patient-focused Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Interventional Radiology experience to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role places a strong emphasis on direct patient treatment procedural support and collaboration with physicians during minimally invasive interventional procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented confident in a fast-paced procedural environment and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Interventional Radiology Tech Summary of Job Duties:

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures including vascular and non-vascular treatments.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment to provide real-time imaging guidance during direct treatment procedures.
• Scrub and circulate during interventional procedures as required by department protocols.
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety practices sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Monitor patients before during and after procedures recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Prepare contrast media supplies and equipment needed for interventional cases.
• Accurately document procedures patient care and imaging data in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Perform equipment quality control checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations hospital policies and accreditation standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and training related to interventional radiology practices and technology advancements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in Interventional Radiology or as an RT with hands-on IR experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Associate or Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT Certification (R); (VI) preferred but not required
• California Department of Public Health (CRT)
• California Fluoroscopy Permit (required)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Proof of required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) if applicable
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
• Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months
• Current Annual Health Clearance
• Reliable source of transportation
