Job Summary
Overall Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain scalable web services and APIs
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Write clean reusable and efficient code following best practices
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions
- Document system processes and APIs
- Stay updated with advances in Python ecosystem and related tools
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python 3
- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django Flask or FastAPI
- Strong understanding of RESTful API development
- Knowledge of database systems like PostgreSQL MySQL or NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS GCP or Azure
- Knowledge of data processing tools like Pandas NumPy or Apache Spark (optional)
- Understanding of containerization with Docker
- Testing frameworks like PyTest Unittest
Category-wise Technical Skills:
- Python Frameworks: Django Flask FastAPI
- API Development: REST GraphQL (optional)
- Databases: PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB
- Data Libraries: Pandas NumPy (optional)
- Version Control & CI/CD: Git Jenkins GitHub Actions
- Containerization: Docker Kubernetes (optional)
- Testing: PyTest Unittest
- Cloud Platforms: AWS GCP Azure (basic knowledge)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python development
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Developing new backend features and APIs
- Maintaining existing codebases
- Writing unit and integration tests
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs
- Participating in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning
- Collaborating with frontend teams and DevOps
- Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback
- Updating technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in building scalable and robust Python applications
- Relevant certifications are a plus
