As a Hardware Test Engineer for Launch Vehicle Integration Electrical Engineering you will serve as the production-facing technical resource for satellite and dispenser electrical systems during integration and launch operations. You will own the triage and disposition of nonconformances maintain satellite health and charging compliance and support work order processes to keep production moving efficiently.
This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills attention to detail and the ability to operate independently while knowing when to escalate to development engineers. You will be a key enabler in scaling satellite integration throughput while maintaining high quality standards.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking an excellent engineer who combines strong technical fundamentals with a demonstrated ability to support fast-paced production operations:
- Perform initial triage and disposition of nonconformances closing routine issues independently and escalating complex cases when needed
- Review update and approve procedures for minor changes; identify and escalate changes requiring development engineering input
- Serve as satellite health champion for state-of-charge monitors charging constraints and power hygiene requirements
- Provide first-line production support for electrical issues enabling rapid response to integration needs
- Monitor satellite health during new or unique procedures; identify trends and flag anomalies before they impact operations
- Interface with electrical ground support equipment racks to support integration activities and troubleshoot issues
- Coordinate with manufacturing integration and launch teams to support production schedules and resolve blockers
- Support up to 25% travel depending on launch vehicle campaign

A day in the life
As a Hardware Test Engineer you will be part the Launch Vehicle Integration Electrical Engineering team serving as the primary technical interface between production operations and development. Your day will be driven by production needstriaging nonconformances as they arise reviewing work order changes and ensuring satellite health requirements are maintained across the integration floor.
On a given day you may review and disposition a queue of nonconformances closing straightforward issues and packaging complex ones for engineering review as needed. You might check dashboards to verify satellite state of health for various ops then coordinate with technicians to address any anomalies. You could review a work order template update request approve minor changes or flag items needing development engineering input. When issues arise on the integration floor you will be the first respondertroubleshooting electrical systems interpreting harness schematics and determining whether an issue can be resolved in place or requires escalation.
This role requires comfort operating in a fast-paced production environment where priorities shift and quickly. You will work closely with integration technicians manufacturing engineers and the dev engineers. You should enjoy being close to the hardware and take pride in keeping production moving. Our team is responsible for delivering launch vehicle integration flight and ground electrical interfaces and electrical ground support equipment supporting Amazons Leo satellite constellation. - Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering hardware testing or production/integration support roles
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging electrical systems
- Proficiency interpreting electrical schematics and harness drawings
- Experience working in production manufacturing or high-cadence integration environments
- Familiarity with nonconformance management and disposition processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document issues and escalate effectively
- Experience using dashboarding tools for exploration and presentation connected to real data sources
- Experience in satellite/spacecraft assembly processing and integration
- Experience in development and/or deployment of electrical ground support equipment
- Familiarity with satellite power systems battery charging operations and state of charge monitoring
- Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar production tracking tools
- Experience with electrical ground support equipment (EGSE)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python Bash etc.)
- Experience supporting production ramp or scaling operations
- Background working at the interface between engineering and manufacturing/production teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
