Job Summary

What Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products transportation inventory management as well as demand supply and manufacturing planning.

The Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing team is responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level by executing and expediting purchase orders. Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing ensures the right quantity of products arrive in the right place at the right time and cost. Assists in negotiating product and supply chain costs. Utilize terms and conditions of supplier contracts work with internal customers to improve processes and evaluate supplier performance that ultimately improves the supply chain.

Job Summary
The Pharmacy Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator will manage purchasing responsibilities for the pharmacy. The ideal candidate has a pharmacy technician background with knowledge of role is located at the Pharmacy Distribution Center (PDC) in Tewksbury MA. This is a full time position Monday - Friday day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Pharmacist as needed permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.

  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures rules and regulations.

  • Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.

  • Performs various pharmacy technician related functions

  • Takes inventory places orders checks in drugs and supplies stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.

  • Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.

  • Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

  • other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalentpreferred.

  • Massachusetts pharmacy technician license required.

  • PTCB certified or ability to obtain certification preferred.

  • Pharmacy purchasing experience preferred.

  • Ability to use technology such as computers smart phones and tablets.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Powerpoint preferred.

  • Ability to work well in a team.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • May require vendor credentialing.

Anticipated hourly range:$17.60 per hour - $29.23 per hour.
