The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker for a high-achieving Primary school in Hertfordshire. This is an essential role in a friendly community-focused school. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all site issues requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to student safety.
Core Responsibilities
Daily Site Checks: Ensuring the school gates fences and playgrounds are secure and free of hazards every morning.
Winter Maintenance: Responsible for gritting paths and clearing snow during the winter months to ensure the school can remain open.
Minor Installations: Assembling furniture installing shelving and assisting teachers with the display of student work in communal areas.
Requirements & Compensation
Essential: A friendly approachable manner and a commitment to the schools safeguarding protocols. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
