The Opportunity
We are seeking an inspirational English Teacher to join a high-achieving department within an Outstanding Watford school. Core Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 ensuring all pupils are challenged to achieve their potential.
Utilise a range of canonical and contemporary texts to develop students critical thinking and analytical skills.
Contribute to the schools wider literacy initiatives including debating societies and creative writing workshops.
ECT Induction & Support
Full 2-year ECF induction programme with a dedicated subject mentor.
A 10% reduced teaching timetable to allow for professional development and peer observations.
Specialised coaching focused on mastery of GCSE assessment and modern pedagogical techniques.
Requirements & Compensation
Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant Honours degree in English.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the national Teachers Pay Scale (M/UPS).
