This role is based in Farnborough Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
Salary: 29000 p.a. up to 150 per month commission bonus
About the role:
Our Flights Consultants are key members of our Customer Service team. They provide flight and ticketing support to our customers and various internal teams in a airline reservation capacity. This involves booking flight routes in the GDS system (we use Travelport) flight ticketing amendments and operational procedures. They are also part of the duty team which deals with customers who are currently travelling and may need flight assistance. Main responsibilities:
Managing PNRs within Travelport GDS including queue management ticketing reissues and schedule changes.
Support the Sales team with complex flight requirements.
Making airline reservations in Travelport GDS.
Making low cost carrier/airline reservations.
Support internal teams (in the UK Australia and Canada) with flight queries.
Liaising with customers regarding flight queries.
Support the duty team with flight issues.
Administration tasks including cancellations.
Working with a customer focused approach at all times.
Working hours will include 1 Saturday in 3 with a lieu day off in the week and on-call cover on Sundays on a rota basis between the team.
Am I the right person
This role would suite someone currently working as a Travel Agent or Airline Ticketing Agent. We are looking for your application to demonstrate:
Working experience of booking published and net fares on a GDS (Travelport/Galileo/Amadeus/Sabre/Worldspan) is essential.
Experience of issuing and re-issuing tickets and checking the queues in a GDS is desirable.
Experience of communicating with customers.
Skilled in working accurately and with attention to detail.
