What are we looking for
We are looking for a Workday Tester with experience in HR and/or Finance modules to support quality assurance activities across Workday implementations and enhancements. The role focuses on functional testing end-to-end business process validation and close collaboration with HR Finance and Payroll teams to ensure high-quality Workday solutions.
Responsibilities
Design execute and document test cases and test scripts for Workday HCM and Financials modules.
Perform functional regression integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate end-to-end business processes such as Hire to Retire and Record to Report.
Identify document track and validate defects ensuring proper resolution and closure.
Test Workday configurations Business Process Framework (BPF) security roles and reports.
Validate inbound and outbound Workday integrations with external systems (payroll finance benefits vendors).
Verify data accuracy and consistency during data loads conversions and post go-live activities.
Participate in testing activities related to Workday releases and new features.
Collaborate closely with HR Finance Payroll functional analysts developers and project managers.
Report testing progress risks and results clearly and in a timely manner.
Requirements
Hands-on experience testing Workday HCM and/or Workday Financial Management.
Knowledge of HR processes (Core HCM Absence Benefits Compensation Payroll).
Knowledge of Finance processes (GL AP AR Expenses Assets).
Experience testing Workday business processes security and configurations.
Strong experience in functional testing within ERP or SaaS platforms.
Ability to write clear test cases and execute structured test plans.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall).
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working in remote and multicultural environments.
Proactive mindset with strong ownership of quality.
Nice to have
Workday certifications (HCM Financials or testing-related).
Experience testing Workday integrations including Workday Studio or EIBs.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Previous experience in consulting or multi-client environments.
