Job Summary:
The Mammography Technician is responsible for performing mammography procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort and producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. The technician will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging.
- Obtain patient history and relevant clinical information.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards.
- Assist radiologists with interventional procedures if applicable.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Mammography certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of mammography techniques and equipment.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with digital mammography and CAD systems.
- Additional certifications in related imaging modalities.
Special Considerations:
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Exposure to radiation.
Scheduling:
- Typically full-time with shifts during regular business hours.
- May include occasional weekend or evening hours.
