This position is for a Certified OR Tech responsible for providing support in the operating room. The role involves working a 5x8s schedule participating in on-call duties and floating within scope to meet facility needs. The Certified OR Tech must have experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital.

Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field in the operating room.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist in the State of Illinois through one (1) of the following: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) OR National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital
- Experience in multiple services including Orthopedics Neurosurgery Vascular Thoracic Trauma Oral-Maxillofacial ENT General Ophthalmology Gyne Ortho/Plastics Hand Plastics Urology Colo-Rectal Pediatric and Adult
- BLS certification
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist in the State of Illinois through one (1) of the following: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) OR National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Locals preferred must live within 75 miles of the facility

Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float facility all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion.
- No RTO the day prior or after a holiday.
- No RTO on weekends.

Scheduling:
- 5x8s 6:30am - 3:00pm
- 1 weekend on-call shift every 4 weeks shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month
- RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO.
