Job Summary:
The Conference Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned conferences by conveying planning expertise building and/or enhancing relationships with providers/departments and meeting deadlines to ensure successful conferences. This includes consistent communication assignment of external roles and responsibilities and resource/staff management to plan produce and debrief conferences in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
Location:Orange California United States
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned conferences by conveying planning expertise.
- Build and/or enhance relationships with providers/departments.
- Meet deadlines to ensure successful conferences.
- Consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Assign external roles and responsibilities.
- Manage resources and staff to plan produce and debrief conferences.
- Ensure conferences are planned and executed in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
- Implement and evaluate programs.
- Manage multiple projects.
- Conduct hybrid (in-person virtual) events.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in educational conferences and event planning in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate programs conference planning and on-site coordination.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proven ability to conduct hybrid (in-person virtual) events.
- Bachelors degree in Business Communications Marketing or related field (or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- 4 years of experience in a healthcare setting with experience in educational conferences and event planning in compliance with ACCME guidelines and criteria.
- Cvent/Attendee Hub proficiency.
Special Considerations:
- This is a conference/event coordinator not a manager role.
Scheduling:
- 24-week contract.
- Shift: 5x8 8:00 am 4:30 pm.
- May include nights/weekends when supporting an educational conference.
- Hybrid role (after the introductory period).
