We are seeking a Programmer Analyst 5 to join our team. This role will involve leading user-centered design initiatives collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering intuitive accessible and high-quality digital user experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong UI/UX expertise experience with modern design tools and a passion for creating reusable accessible and scalable design solutions.

Location: Michigan (Hybrid On-site from Day 1 two days per week)

Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)

Job Description:

The Programmer Analyst 5 is a senior-level role responsible for shaping and improving user experience across complex digital applications. This position focuses on UI/UX design wireframing prototyping and the development of consistent design systems that enhance usability and accessibility.

In this role the Programmer Analyst 5 will work closely with business stakeholders developers and product teams to translate user needs into effective design solutions. The position requires leading user workshops facilitating design sessions and ensuring alignment with accessibility standards and best practices. The Programmer Analyst 5 will also play a key role in maintaining reusable components and design frameworks to ensure consistency across platforms.

A successful Programmer Analyst 5 brings strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to balance user needs with technical and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead UI/UX design initiatives for enterprise-level digital applications
Create wireframes prototypes and user flows to support design decisions
Develop and maintain design systems reusable components and style guides
Facilitate user workshops usability sessions and stakeholder meetings
Collaborate with development teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices
Translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive designs
Review refine and validate designs based on feedback and testing results
Communicate design concepts clearly through documentation and presentations

Required Skills & Experience (with Years):

UI/UX Design Experience: 3 5 years
Wireframing & Prototyping Tools (Figma Sketch or equivalent): 2 years
Design Systems & Reusable UI Components: 2 3 years
User Workshops & Facilitation Experience: 2 years
Accessibility Standards & Best Practices (ADA/WCAG): 1 year
Written & Verbal Communication: Strong clear and concise communication skills
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
