Job Summary

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RPG Programmer to join our IT team onsite in Boise Idaho. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing maintaining and enhancing business-critical applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This role requires strong technical expertise in RPG programming and the ability to collaborate closely with business users and IT staff to support and improve enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop maintain and enhance applications using RPG (RPG III/IV RPGLE Free-Form RPG) on IBM i (AS/400)
  • Support and troubleshoot existing legacy and modernized RPG applications
  • Work with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain CL/CLLE programs and scripts
  • Design modify and optimize DB2/400 database files and SQL queries
  • Perform unit testing debugging and performance tuning
  • Participate in system upgrades migrations and modernization efforts
Required Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience as an RPG Programmer
  • Strong experience with RPGLE / Free-Form RPG
  • Experience working on IBM i (AS/400) systems
  • Proficiency with CL/CLLE
  • Solid understanding of DB2/400 data structures and file design
  • Experience with debugging and maintaining legacy RPG applications
  • Ability to work onsite in Boise ID
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
