Senior Network Engineer

Location: San Carlos CA

Contract Duration: 6 months initial contract

Pay rate: $70 - $75/hr on W2

This role is crucial in supporting our expanding network infrastructure across multiple sites in San Carlos CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in true ground-up network deployment and operations with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the ground-up deployment of siloed networks and network infrastructure
Provision and configure network equipment ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with a team of 5 including 3 senior and 2 junior engineers to support day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.
Design and implement network solutions on a siloed network ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Work closely with security engineers on SDWAN and Firewall configurations providing support and expertise as needed.
Adapt to flexible working hours to accommodate network downtimes including early morning or late evening shifts as required (roughly twice a month)
Qualifications:
Proven experience in deploying and managing network infrastructure in data centers and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs).
Hands-on experience with Juniper Palo Alto and Meraki network equipment.
Strong understanding of network design implementation and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience with Juniper networks is a bonus.
Familiarity with SDWAN and Firewall technologies.
Additional Information:
The role requires full-time onsite presence in San Carlos CA
Travel between local sites is required with no mileage reimbursement due to proximity.
The interview process includes two rounds: an initial introduction call with the hiring manager and a second round with up to four team members.
