Software Engineer, Java Liquidity

The Liquidity team builds features that give merchants access to fast flexible Credit for business growth ensuring seamless cash flow management alongside sophisticated Treasury and Issuing capabilities. We develop services that guarantee a reliable and delightful experience from the moment a shopper adds a product to their cart through to the fulfillment moment when they receive their purchase. We believe an excellent product doesnt stop at a great user experience; it needs to have a solid foundation of scalability reliability and a robust developer experience.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager for Financial Solutions Liquidity.

Youll Get To

• Create features to provide merchants with flexible financing options and cash flow management.
• Solve complex challenges driving innovative solutions for payment processing and financing.
• Collaborate with world-class Senior & Staff engineers to build the latest financial products.
• Ensure scalability reliability and an exceptional developer experience.
• Engage across teams to translate complexities into actionable solutions.
• Balance alignment with partners and stakeholders.

Who Were Looking For

• You have 3 years of experience in the software industry.
• Experience in the fintech space such as payments trading or gambling.
• Strictly typed professional coding experience in Java ( Go or Rust alternatively).
• You translate technical complexities into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Event-driven architecture with microservices and messaging such as PubSub Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• You prioritize delivering high-quality solutions balancing UX scalability and performance.
• Event-sourced systems featuring automated recovery and high observability.
• Experience with relational and noSQL databases such as Postgres BigQuery BigTable.
• You excel in a team environment with engineers and partners to achieve shared goals.
• API design test automation documentation code reviews.
• Experience deploying with Terraform in a cloud e.g. GCP AWS Azure.
• Solid background in engineering best practices & CI/CD.
