HSP volunteers help clients adjust to a new country and community by providing essential support during the initial settlement period. Volunteers work in tandem with Red Cross caseworkers and Community Navigators to build confidence self-sufficiency and community connections for OpportunityHSP volunteers are friendly accepting and flexible individuals who are motivated to support the learning and comfortable settlement of newly arrived refugees. All of the roles within the program are supported by the Red Cross caseworkers and Community Navigator. Training and ongoing development opportunities are offered as part of these Cross will ensure you have training ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the worlds largest humanitarian ImpactHSP volunteers are a vital connection between refugees and their new communities. As part of the Humanitarian Settlement Program you will contribute to creating a friendly and inclusive environment that will help refugees feel welcome. Your impact will be tangible and you will see your contribution making a different to someones will have the opportunity to learn from many peoples diverse history and knowledge as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to requirementsFor this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check which will be organised through Red CrossYou will need to provide details for two professional referencesThe role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory.
