Job Summary

As a Mechanical Designer a typical day might include the following:

Under close technical supervision makes design changes and prepare Mechanical CAD deliverables.
Coordinate changes to existing designs.
Assist engineers in completing projects of varying complexity.
Create update and maintain project documentation such as BOMs drawings and Excel file.
Follow and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drafting
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
Ability to use Microsoft Excel at a functional level to support engineering documentation and analysis.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to further develop technical knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering Tech/CAD Tech degree or equivalent
Experience participating on project teams
2 year experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Pay Range Data

Mechanical Designer $30.29 - $44.76. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
