Job Summary

Janicki Industries is an innovative family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace defense and space industries.

We are excited that Janickis growth requires that we add Machinists to the team!

There is a $2 shift differential for all hours worked on the swing shift and $3 for weekend day shift.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Hamilton Washington State.

The Machinist performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets. Machinists are required to follow detailed drawings and instructions. Set up operation and maintenance of CNC and manual mills lathes and standard machine shop tools are some of the daily tasks.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Machinist Technician:

Attention to detail and quality is required
Reads and understands blueprints isometric drawings and work orders
Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices
Identifies and obtains equipment tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
Set up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly FOD free condition
Knowledge and use of common hand tools
Accurate use of precision measuring instruments (ie: micrometers calipers etc) and working to exacting tolerances
Must understand and comply with Safety and 5S.
Must understand and comply with AS9100 and Nadcap Practices and Procedures as applicable
Works in other Cells to support Production as required ie; Metal Fab or Mill Cell.
CNC Mill and Manual Mill set up operation and maintenance.
CNC Lathe and Manual Lathe set up operation and maintenance.
Mill/Lathe Operation includes Tooling knowledge Calibrated equipment machine operation part loading and clamping machine maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. SecretSecurity Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required college level or trade school education preferred.
6 months or more of operating machinery in a manufacturing environment required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wage range for this role is between$20 - $45an hour plus a discretionary bonus 401(k) matching vacation and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts off-site work and access pay. The range provided is Janickis estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience location education training skills and abilities.
