You will be working at our C.R. Plastics facility located at 1172 Erie St. Stratford Ontario N5A are full-time positions based on 40 hours of work per week with occasional overtime. At this time we are looking for individuals who can work an 8-hour shift including days afternoons nights and SummaryA Production Team Member (Plastic Products Assembler & Finisher) is responsible for assembling operating machinery inspecting and finishing plastic components used in the manufacturing of CR Plastics outdoor furniture and related products. The role ensures that all products meet company quality safety and production standards. This position requires attention to detail manual dexterity and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing include the following:Safely operate a wide range of power and hand toolsincluding bandsaws disc sanders drill presses routers impact drivers mitre saws pocket drills and spindle sanderswhile ensuring tools are inspected before use maintained in proper condition and used according to all safety and quality extrusion machines as required by production schedules including setting up materials monitoring machine performance adjusting controls when needed and verifying that extruded components meet dimensional and visual quality plastic lumber into jigs with accuracy ensuring each part is properly aligned secured and prepared for manual assembly tasks; perform assembly operations with precision to meet specifications and avoid and unload CNC machines by correctly placing plastic lumber checking fixture alignment confirming program readiness inspecting completed parts for quality and reporting any machine or part issues robotic work centers by loading and unloading parts monitoring automated processes for proper function addressing basic alarms or stoppages and packing finished parts securely and onto the designated work center at the start of each task or job accurately recording work orders scrap quantities downtime events and any notes required for production tracking and all required shift documentation including production logs quality check sheets and other reports ensuring entries are accurate legible and submitted in a timely ongoing 5S duties such as organizing tools and materials cleaning work areas removing waste replenishing supplies and maintaining a safe and uncluttered workspace throughout the all Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for each assigned task reviewing updates when provided and consistently performing work to established safety quality and productivity team needs and overall production flow by assisting in other work centers when required participating in cross-training activities identifying improvement opportunities and performing any additional duties assigned by supervisors to meet operational other duties as are looking for candidates who meets the following minimum requirements: Minimum of two years of plastic manufacturing assembly and carpentry experience school diploma or equivalent one year of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) ability to work independently on specific tasks and collaboratively within a small team to achieve production goals in a fast-paced high-volume and adaptability to switch between different products and production to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure attention to detail manual dexterity and hand-eye experience checking and monitoring machine -oriented with strong communication and problem-solving reliability strong attendance record and ability to perform consistently in a physically demanding role while maintaining high quality on experience assembling plastic products and components in a manufacturing environment following work instructions and technical using hand tools such as band saws drills sanders grinders pocket drills spindle sanders impact drivers and other finishing to troubleshoot basic production or finishing issues and escalate equipment or product concerns to supervisors when to follow basic quality control procedures identify defects and document findings with strong attention to detail consistently meeting quality standardsPhysical ability to stand for long periods perform repetitive tasks and handle plastic materials of various sizes and weights up to to participate in on-the-job training continuous improvement programs and cross-training opportunities to expand skills and support operational working with HDPE material handling and recycling offer a generous compensation package which includes: Starting wage of $21.87 - $22.50 per hour less applicable statutory deductions and withholdings.$1.00 per hour shift premium for those who work afternoons/ will be paid at 1.5 time your regular hourly rate after 40 hours per week.10 days of paid vacation per yearExtended medical dental and long-term disability in our retirement savings transportation costs for out of province applicantsPrivate health care insurance coverage for out of province applicants (equal to the Ontario provincial health insurance plan) until such a time that the applicant is eligible for Ontario provincial health insuranceEligible for incremental raises in accordance with standard company policiesWorking Environment and Physical DemandsManufacturing facility environment with moderate noise levels machinery and moving repetitive tasks such as lifting bending sanding trimming and is performed at production lines workbenches and machinery equipment such as gloves hearing protection and safety glasses provided and environment with a focus on continuous improvement efficiency and quality -based work may include days afternoons or rotational schedules depending on production work environment and physical demands detailed above are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of the job.
