Job Summary

Koniag Operations Services LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking PRN Nurse Practitioner to support Kadiak and our government customer in Glynco GA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public are to be provided between the hours of 7:00 to 18:00 pm (remain flexible) Monday through Friday unless specified Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a clinic setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing approved protocols and national standards of practice as directed by the physician components of physical exams which may include but are not limited to:Vital signs varies with different exam requirementsAudiometryVision testingECGSpirometryPhlebotomyTB skin testingDocumentation of all clinical data on all required formsAssist CNM with orientation for new staffProvides immunizations according to KGS policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations suturing and managing wounds and infectionsRecognizes and responds to emergency calls when required and renders emergency services as neededAssures personal compliance with licensing certification and accrediting bodiesPrescribe and administers pharmaceuticals other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditionsDetermines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test resultsEnsures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments procedures and medications prescribedMeets with Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care review policies procedures outcomes reports and recordsComply with federal and state privacy laws always respecting a patients confidentialityProtects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocolsEnsures clinical competence and stays abreast of changes in medical managementPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as requestedSupervisory Responsibilities:Not a supervisory positionMinimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:At least two (2) years experience in an occupational health or related experience such as public health community health outpatient clinic emergency department or ambulatory healthcareAdept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for clientsStrong attention to detail and ability to multi-task; ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced and deadline driven environmentSuperior ability to write routine reports and correspondenceExcellent communication customer service and organizational skillsMinimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensure/ExperienceGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing required/RN license requiredMasters degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program requiredRegistered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry RequiredBasic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training and possess current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Tier 4 and Public Trust security clearance per government requirementsShall meet the licensing competency and professional qualifications required by the state for which hired; and have two (2) year field experience within the last three yearsRequired to have a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) NumberAgree to have a collaborative agreement with physician if required for the state : Prorated for PRNMedical Dental Vision Prescriptions.
