Job Summary

General Summary: The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) will function as a role model to peers;exhibitingcompetency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a member advocate providing information and peer support for members in outpatient PSS performs a wide range of tasks toassistpeers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process recovery resources such as books tapespamphletsand other written materials will beutilizedby PSS in the provision of RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilizes astrengths-based approach along withpersonal experienceswhilemaintainingappropriate professionalboundaries to develop meaningful and trusting relationships with example of what they can strive for in their recovery and instills the belief that recovery is real and be able to understand and implement individual treatment plan goals by providing behavioral health covered peer support services to with various community organizations and resources to provideadditionalsupport for members particularly as they transition from recovery back into the general individual and group to locations in the community as needed for service delivery using a motor required vehicle documentation;maintainscleanliness and maintenance protocols for agency progress notes incidentreportsand other data sheets within the ARTs whenrequired; attends regularly scheduled Team Meetingssupervisionsand other meetings all training required by licensing and/or agency or as requested by andsubmitdetailed datarequiredfor management of duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the :Minimum Education Required:High School Diploma or Support Certification from Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) or another approved provider. Minimum Experience Required:Past personal experience within the behavioral health system or child welfare :Minimum 21years of age. Able to pass a minimum 5 panel drug test & submitto regular screening. DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possessupon hire andmaintainthroughout employment). Maintaina clear Central Registry Background Check. CPR First Aid (mustpossessupon hire andmaintainthroughoutemployment). Current valid Arizona Drivers License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance about this position Contact us
