1)Assist in coordinating analysis prioritization and approval of IT demands and monitoring the execution of IT projects.
2) Support in ensuring that the documentation of IT demands follows approved process facilitates feasibility studies and business case preparation reviews cost-benefit and return on investment analyses and supports in approvals’ coordination.
3) Support in preparation of portfolio/program management plans and activities for the set of interrelated projects from demand approval to project close-out. Assist in providing a cross program view to ensure consistency and ensure that dependencies within the program are properly handled.
4) Support in formulating and maintaining PMO support strategy processes procedures tools and techniques in line with corporate standards. Supports in verification of standards for project delivery lifecycle including business cases and ensures quality of IT projects. Coordinate and assist program/project managers on project management processes and adherence to standards. Support in facilitation of process improvement and other continuous improvement mechanisms.
5) Support in evaluation of project performance to meet all IT projects’ targets and provides timely reports. Analyzes and coordinates discussions on changes where performance is found to be unsatisfactory. Report review findings document compliance and non-compliance and where necessary seeks advice on ways of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the control mechanisms.
Mandatory Requirements:
1) Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering or holds a relevant professional qualification.
2) Minimum eight years’ experience in a techno management IT and/or business project management role with a widespread knowledge of IT.
3) Good working experience in Project Management tools like EPM MS Projects etc. and in ERP tools like SAP.
4) Knowledge and experience in principles methods techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation. Examples but not limited to: PRINCE2 and PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) from the PMI - Project Management Institute.
5) Possess knowledge of IT projects business and business skills in more than one business sector and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
