Full-time position working 40 hours per week


Easterseals Florida is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support pediatric clients in our outpatient therapy program. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) you will help provide high-quality therapeutic services to children with a variety of developmental delays including a large population of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).


The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in early childhood intervention behavior strategies augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) developmental play and social skills. You will work closely with families maintain accurate documentation and ensure therapy is delivered in a positive supportive and child-centered environment.


What Youll Do

  • Implement treatment plans under the direction of a licensed SLP demonstrating strong clinical skill and adherence to quality standards
  • Document client progress session notes billing information and justification for treatment or equipment within required timelines
  • Utilize EMR systems and related applications including Office 365 Outlook and Teams
  • Provide education to clients and families to support skill development and carryover at home
  • Collaborate with clinical team members parents/guardians and supervisors to ensure coordinated effective care
  • Maintain organized patient files and assist with clerical and administrative tasks
  • Support the SLP in monitoring plan-of-care (POC) dates and managing caseload needs
  • Meet productivity expectations and maintain consistent attendance with all assigned clients
  • Provide therapy in other Easterseals programs as needed demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
  • Create and maintain a safe structured and engaging therapy environment


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited SLPA program
  • Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License
  • Pediatric therapy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of behavioral management and ASD-focused therapy practices
  • Ability to use AAC devices assistive technology and therapy-related equipment
  • Strong communication skills with children families and professionals
  • Excellent documentation organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
