Description

Anderson University School of Nursing invites applications for one faculty position that includes didactic clinical simulation and lab work. The non-tenure track appointment will be for 9 months and begin in August 2026. This is an on-site position. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

These requirements are a representation of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as an exhaustive list of specific duties and responsibilities. Employee may be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Prepares and delivers didactic nursing concepts.
  • Maintains expertise in content.
  • Collaborates with faculty to develop course and student experiences.
  • Collaborates with clinical coordinator for clinical placements.
  • Teaches 24 credit hours or 360 contact hours per year.
  • May include teaching summer courses.
  • Maintains knowledge of The Essentials of Nursing Education for Baccalaureate Degree Programs.
  • Participates in committee work.
  • Advises nursing students.
  • Prepares students in achieving the requirements for NCLEX-RN.
  • Facilitates and manages clinical activities.
  • Minimum of eight office hours weekly for student engagement.
  • Attends graduations/retreats/SOAR/and other SON activities.


Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Masters in Nursing from an accredited institution required. Masters in Nursing Education preferred.
  • Active unencumbered Indiana RN License.
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing practice with experience in medical-surgical and intensive care.
  • Collaborative approach to working with faculty staff and students.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to handle situations with tact professionalism diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Creative dynamic and innovative teaching methods.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.

The successful candidate will be committed to an autonomous practice of nursing along with integration of liberal arts education global perspectives servanthood and community partnerships. Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Must meet university lifestyle expectations.
