The Mechanical Designer will work directly with Mechanical Design Lead and Design teams to ensure projects are met on budget. The incumbent will work with the management and department personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the advancement of innovative manufacturing solutions. Join our team and help shape the future of automated manufacturing!What Youll Be Doing:Perform engineering calculations for materials strength speeds and force related to designsDevelop equipment drawings and bills of materials using AutoCAD and SolidWorksAnalyze designs for compliance with standards like OSHA and CEReverse engineer components using precision measurement toolsReview drawings for accuracy material selection machining techniques finishes etcCommunicate design changes and task progress with team leads and managementCollaborate with fabricators machinists toolmakers and electricians in the completion of equipment and solving problemsWhat Were Looking For:An educational background in Engineering Robotics or a related disciplineExperience in mechanical design utilizing SolidWorks (or equivalent)Experience in an automation environment is an assetExperience with custom tooling for the nuclear industry is an assetWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 N299 and NQA-1 is an assetWhat We Offer:Reimbursement for tuition and professional duesThree weeks of vacation and three paid personal days (to start)RRSP matching programFree snack programWhy Join Us:Here at Eclipse Automation creation and innovation are at our core and our culture reflects that.
