Overview

Volunteering with Change Grow Live in Warwickshire isa great wayto make a real difference in peoples lives whilstgaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community develop new skills or meet like-minded people there are plenty of reasons to get involved. As a Recovery Support Volunteer you will be working in close collaboration with the team assisting them in their caseload management supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey. This can include completing assessments supporting people to attend community and inpatient detoxes supporting group work and undertaking one to one work. You will be an integral team member and will play an active role in helping our service users achieve their goals. You will receive training and support and work towards holding a small caseload of low-risk service users

Responsibilities

What youll do:

  • Support the Recovery Coordinator to carry out comprehensive assessments triages risk assessments risk management plans and to contribute to the development of individual community recovery plans
  • Provide 1:1 key work sessions including harm reduction advice and recovery planning
  • Support those who use our services to achieve their recovery plan goals
  • Support and empower service users to engage in recovery activities both within Change Grow Live and the wider community
  • Work towards holding a small caseload of low-risk service users and coordinating their treatment options
  • Document sessions on case management systems

An important part of the role is listening to people and sharing what you have heard with the service representing their views and using their feedback to help inform how we develop and improve our services. You will help to ensure people hear about any decisions or changes that are made because of their feedback. You will be working with Change Grow Live staff and connecting with the wider community.

We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children young people and adults and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding are actively recruiting people who can offer us 1 3 days per week to work within our drug & alcohol service; we are specifically looking for people who are keen and enthusiastic and would be able to commit to staying as a volunteer with us for up to one year.

We currently have 2 vacancies one for our Leamington hub and one for our Nuneaton hub. Please note your preference on your application.
