This will provide you with the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes yourpersonal and professional growth.
We are looking for a full-time Intern for our Houston office located in Katy Tx to join our team for a duration of 10 consecutive weeks from June to August.
As a Engineering/Technical Studentfor our US PICCo office you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
- Conducts basic safety inspections and training identifies hazards and corrections and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
- Assists with third-party inspections and site reviews.
- Assists superintendent with workforce planning.
- Assists in tracking time materials and equipment.
- Prepares quantity takeoffs as directed for production analysis material orders etc.
- Assists in monitoring quality plan Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) (BLDG and CIVIL).
- Assists project engineers/coordinators with trade contractor management including requests for information (RFIs) shop drawings changes and billings.
- Assists with materials and equipment inventory.
- Assists with schedules (three-week lookaheads).
- Assists with change management.
- Assists with documentation of performance (production progress) commodity curvescollection weekly productivities.
- Assists with updating drawings and specifications.
- Liaises with trade contractors consultants designers engineers.
- Develop and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older and able to work in Houston TX
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party
- Proficient with Microsoft office software
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and perform quantity take offs
- Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B etc.) for this position.
