Job Summary

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 60% Application Developerto work for the Department of Nursing.

Position Summary:
Analyze design implement and support internally developed applications and vended/commercial solutions. Produce information assets and creative solutions that strategically advance teaching research and service through robust infrastructure information tools systems and stewardship of information assets.

Percent of Time: 60%
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day shifts with flexibility to meet needs of The Department of Nursing
Salary: https://P & S Pay Plan - 3B
Location: University Campus

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Considerable experience (minimum 3-5 years) in applications development is required
  • Knowledge of databases is required
  • Competency in one or more tools operating systems and languages such as WindowsXP Citrix WordPress Ektron CMS Sharepoint and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to write functional and technical specifications for complex integrated systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical staff
