Youll work alongside our Partnerships team to:Research and map potential partners including companies philanthropic trusts and the preparation of donor briefings funding proposals and impact to donor communications and storytelling that highlight the power of how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence can enhance donor engagement and fundraising in strategic projects that provide insight into how large-scale philanthropic initiatives drive humanitarian have the opportunity to apply classroom learning to real projects that make a difference from supporting communities affected by disasters to strengthening programs that empower people experiencing vulnerability across Australia and internationally. The opportunity The Australian Red Cross student placement program offers students the opportunity to contribute to one of the worlds most respected humanitarian organisations. Through structured supervised placements students become part of multidisciplinary teams working to strengthen community resilience respond to disasters and deliver programs that restore dignity and Cross placements emphasise learning through practice. Students are supported to develop critical thinking teamwork and problem-solving skills while engaging with complex real-world challenges from emergency preparedness and response to social inclusion and migration program is grounded in Red Cross seven Fundamental Principles Humanity Impartiality Neutrality Independence Voluntary Service Unity and Universality ensuring all activities reflect our mission to reduce human suffering and improve impactYour contribution as a student will help advance the vital humanitarian work of Australian Red Cross - work that spans disaster response emergency relief migration support and community resilience. By supporting partnerships that fund this work youll play a meaningful role in enabling life-changing initiatives to continue and also develop the skills and confidence to build a career in the humanitarian or not-for-profit sector. The experience will provide a strong foundation in ethical fundraising stakeholder engagement and evidence-based storytelling all essential for creating lasting social volunteering with Red Cross is more than a placement its a chance to be part of a global movement of 16 million volunteers in 191 countries united by one goal: to bring help and hope wherever its needed requirementsFor this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check which will be organised through Red CrossYou will need to provide a recent copy of your CV The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory.
