Maintenance Area Engineer - FiberlineColumbus MSPay Rate: $90000 - $110000Multiple factors including Individual experience skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay Salaried Full-Time About The Role:The Maintenance Area Engineer position is located at the Columbus MS Global Cellulose Fibers mill. As one of the largest softwood pulp producers in the world this location produces bleached softwood pulp for use in paper and specialty products such as absorbent personal care products pharmaceuticals and photographic-based papers. As the Maintenance Area Engineer you will focus on the Fiberline area and will:Be a role model and champion for an injury-free workplaceAnalyze chronic equipment failures and high maintenance/cost equipment. Use Failure Analysis to systematically understand failures by determining and documenting the root cause. Develop and implement solutions to prevent repeat maintenance-related downtime weekly to fully understand the source of the downtime and ensure appropriate level of response is taken to eliminate repeat technical go to support in solving day-to-day production and maintenance problemsChampion the preventive and predictive maintenance programsMaintain Mechanical Integrity program and procedures for Process Safety ManagementProvide input to area maintenance budgets for major maintenance items and optimizationsAnalyze financial service cost vs. target and address equipment not delivering targeted cost long term maintenance plan for rotating equipment rebuilds and major maintenanceEstimate plan and manage maintenance projects to budget for routine work quarterly outages and major capital and expense project design development and executionProvide contractor work management and coordination for routine and major shutdown jobs per mill standards using best engineering practicesAbout You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities BS (minimum) in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering requiredMinimum 3 years of reliability/maintenance engineering experience in continuous process industry preferably Kraft pulp manufacturingKnowledge and experience in Maintenance Best PracticesWorking knowledge of ASME NBIC and API codes and OSHA regulationsExtensive knowledge of rotating equipment pressure vessels piping systems and atmospheric storage tanksUse of precision measurement tools and assembly techniquesAble to teach othersInterpersonal skills necessary to work within a diverse organizationAble to work in a high-performance team environmentAbility to manage multiple projects at one timeExcellent written and oral communication skills organizational and planning skills facilitations skills computer skills and the ability to achieve results through othersWillingness to work extended hours particularly during scheduled outagesAbout Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
