NSB Recruitment is partnering with a forward-thinking sustainability consultancy in London looking to bring on a Sustainability Consultant to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across multiple sectors while making a tangible impact on the built environment.
About the Role
This is a varied and influential position where youll be at the heart of delivering innovative industry-leading sustainability solutions. You will primarily focus on BREEAM delivery with some exposure to WELL projects supporting clients from early design through to operational handover and helping them achieve ambitious environmental and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the delivery of BREEAM assessments and contributing to WELL and other sustainability standards as required.
- Contributing to the development of holistic sustainability strategies across diverse projects.
- Undertaking modelling and analysis including embodied carbon assessments circular economy opportunities building performance simulations operational energy analysis and overheating risk assessments.
- Assisting in the creation of energy strategies to promote sustainable innovation for clients.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members including graduates.
- Collaborating on research and development initiatives to maintain the consultancys position at the forefront of sustainability practice.
About You
You will have 23 years experience working within the built environment and a strong interest in sustainability consultancy. Ideally you will have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- BREEAM HQM WELL Fitwel or bespoke sustainability standards.
- Sustainability statements energy statements circular economy reporting or whole-life carbon assessments.
- Energy strategies and Building Regulations Part L assessments.
- Operational energy modelling dynamic thermal comfort modelling and overheating analysis.
- Net zero carbon strategies and embodied carbon calculations.
What Were Looking For
- A degree in a relevant discipline and hands-on experience within a sustainability or engineering consultancy.
- Passion for delivering sustainable solutions in a collaborative team-focused environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor or support junior colleagues.
- A genuine interest in advancing sustainability within the built environment.
- Ambition to broaden technical skillset through exposure to energy and carbon projects over time.
