Clients are welcome to bring a carer or registered friend along for the ride. By combining reliable logistics with a friendly chat this service supports physical social and emotional well-being and helps people remain independent in their own homes whilst still being connected to the opportunityWe are seeking warm dependable volunteers who can relate to and empathise with a diverse range of people including those from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences. Key Requirements and Your Commitment:Be willing to join a nationwide team delivering social inclusion program within aged and community our vehicles to transport one or multiple clients per trip locally and of mobile applications (Apps) to support safe and timely service to established work practices relevant to the a safe courteous and respectful transport to place light mobility aids (approx. 10-12 kgs) in the boot of a in conversation and activities that are appropriate to the client or the privacy rights and dignity of clients and maintain confidentiality with respect to information obtained during the delivery of timely and appropriate documentation of your interactions with clear professional relationships and respect clear boundaries to safeguard the well-being of the client and in mandatory learning and development to keep your knowledge skills and practices up-to-date in the aged and community care to upholding the principles outlined in the Aged Care Code of Conduct and any subsequent updates. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity by respecting diverse backgrounds and ensuring that all interactions are inclusive and free from discriminationRed Cross will ensure you have training ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the worlds largest humanitarian impactAs a Red Cross Transport volunteer you will deliver more than just safe transport you will offer companionship dignity and peace of mind.
