POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overall program administration supervision and development of SUD programs and services.
DUTIES:
1. Provides leadership to SUD coordinator(s) for the day-to-day management of all program activities.
2. Recruits trains/coaches supervises and evaluates SUD leadership staff and direct staff.
3. Responsible for department development and strategic planning. Prepares an annual plan for the department.
4. Develops and maintains professional relationships with school districts and other community leaders in support of service provision and agency relations.
5. Ensures SUD programs have policies and procedures in place for all program activities.
6. Actively monitors and ensures successful performance and completion of contract requirements.
7. Works with BH Director to create annual program budgets and maintains ongoing changes to the budget model.
8. Reviews monthly financial statements and monitors monthly revenue and expenses.
9. Ensures SUD program data is collected and reported both internally and externally.
10. Actively participates in CHS leadership team and contributes to overarching CHS goals and strategic objectives.
11. Represents CHS at community events and meetings as identified.
12. Assists BH Director with the development of new funding sources through grant writing or other development activities.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
1. At the time of hire must possess a California State recognized SUD Certification.
2. BA or BS in related field preferred. May accept equivalent experience in counseling/social services setting.
3. Minimum two (2) years experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
4. Thorough knowledge of 12-Step Recovery concepts of AA/NA and how to utilize in the treatment program.
5. For a person in recovery a minimum of 3 years clean and sober is required.
6. Strong group facilitation skills.
7. Understanding issues specific to women in recovery.
8. Knowledge of community resources.
9. Professionally developed leadership skills.
10. Valid First Aid and CPR/Pro/AED re-certification as necessary.
11. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
12. Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
13. Pass agency paid health screening and drug testing if required.
14. Valid California drivers license and proof of auto insurance coverage.
15. Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allow any points.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Represent the agency in a professional and competent manner.
2. Advocate for the best interests of the agency and clients we serve.
3. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public co-workers clients supervisors and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race color creed religion gender sexual orientation gender identity or expression national origin age ancestry political affiliation citizenship disability medical conditions marital status amnesty and military or veteran status.
4. Will promote and support a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce and be responsive to the population within our service area.
5. Maintain confidentiality and confidential information in accordance with legal standards and/or agency regulations.
6. Participate in assigned scheduled agency meetings in-service trainings conferences and other trainings as determined by the supervisor. This includes serving as an agency representative at assigned community meetings.
7. Observance of assigned working hours and program appointments by demonstratingpromptness and thorough preparation.
8. Performance of assigned duties with a positive attitude and in the spirit of teamwork collaboration and cooperation.
9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
10. Perform job duties in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
11. Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.
12. Preparation of assigned reports work records statistical data job performance evaluations work plans a timely manner.
