Job Summary
The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be highly organized efficient and detail oriented
- Must possess the ability to design coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
- Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
- Skilled in seeding fertilizing mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
- Must be dependable
Responsibilities:
- Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
- Mows greens approaches fairways rough tees and other areas
- Waters tees greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repairs the irrigation system pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
- Grades and prepares soil base lays sod and seeds greens tees and fairways
- Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
- Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Change cups and or course set up
- Blow greens and tees clean
Preferred Experience:
- 2 years landscaping experience
- 1 year Golf Course experience
