An Officer Store (or Stores Officer)manages daily store operations focusing on accurate inventory control efficient receipt and dispatch of goods maintaining records and ensuring compliance with safety/quality standards requiring strong organizational skills and software proficiency to prevent stockouts and support business needs. Key duties include inventory audits coordinating with suppliers managing store staff and reporting on stock levels to ensure operational smoothness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels perform regular physical counts reconcile discrepancies and manage stock rotation (like FIFO).
- Receiving & Dispatch:Oversee the proper unloading inspection and shelving of incoming goods; prepare and dispatch outgoing orders accurately.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records in inventory software (ERP/Tally) generate reports and handle documents like Goods Received Notes (GRN).
- Coordination:Liaise with procurement production and logistics teams to ensure material availability and smooth operations.
- Safety & Compliance:Enforce safety regulations maintain cleanliness and ensure adherence to company policies in the store area.
- Reporting:Prepare periodic reports on stock status consumption and operational performance for management.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelors degree in Business Admin Logistics or related field.
- Experience:Proven experience in inventory or store operations.
- Skills:Strong organizational multitasking and communication skills; proficiency in inventory software (ERP SAP etc.) and MS Office.
- Attributes:Detail-oriented proactive problem-solver and able to work in a dynamic environment.
