About the role

Oral Health Victoriahavetwopositions forhighly motivatedqualifiedand experiencedDental Laboratory Technicians to work at the Royal Dental Hospital of will have the opportunity to specialise in your chosen area and will alsohave the opportunity toprovide technical support and supervision to Melbourne Dental School and RMIT students asrequired.

We are looking for a Dental Technician who are competent in the following Department;

Fixed prosthesis/Crown& Bridge/Implant Technician:

(If you have experience with 3D printers we would also love to hear from you)

These roles will suit Dental Technicians with a minimum of3yearsof experience.

You might currently be working in a private or public settingseekinga new and exciting challenge Or you may be wanting to try something that is a little different to whatyoureused to or reduce your hours You will have access to plenty of professional development and 1:1 support from the team as well as your manager.

You will also have access to the wider hospital network of clinical leaders and the broaderOral Health VictoriaVictoriateam to help support you to succeed in this role.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Certified Dental Technician
  • In-depth knowledge of dental prostheses devices and related technologies
  • Experience in constructing replacing repairing and restoring dental devices
  • Experience in dental laboratory computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software such as 3 Shape and Emax/Zirconiamilling technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build-up and finishing for a range of products in the Fixed Pros Crown & Bridge/Implant Department.
  • Technical Consultation and knowledge on dental appliances
  • Fabrication of all metal all ceramic PFM Emax and monolithic zirconia crown & bridges
  • Fabrication of veneers and casting post & core
  • Stainingglazingand layering of crown & bridges.
  • Implant Crown & Bridge work
  • Quality of work completed
  • Good organisational skills to prioritising tasks and meet deadlines.
  • An experienced team player who meets and exceeds team goals.
  • Self-motivatedpositiveand willing to learn.
  • Ability tomaintainstrict confidentiality and uphold the integrity ofOHV.
