Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced and motivated Line Cook candidates to support kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This Line Cook role is ideal for individuals passionate about food quality teamwork and delivering a strong guest experience. Steakhouse experience is preferred.

What the Line Cook Will Be Doing

Prepare and cook meals for breakfast lunch and dinner across multiple stations
Plate and garnish dishes to meet quality and presentation standards
Carve meats and prepare omelets on buffet lines
Rotate through kitchen stations while maintaining clear team communication
Follow production sheets and maintain food consistency and quality
Keep workstations walk-in coolers and prep areas clean and organized
Maintain proper food rotation and par levels
Handle special requests from chefs and guests
Follow food safety sanitation and uniform standards

Required Qualifications for the Line Cook

Previous line cook or restaurant experience required (steakhouse preferred)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Willingness to work nights weekends and holidays

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs
Work in hot and cold environments
Ability to taste smell read write and speak basic English
Fast-paced casino kitchen environment with exposure to noise flashing lights and secondhand smoke
Drug- and alcohol-free workplace
