General Summary: TheSUDTherapist functions as a provider of therapeutic services for members of the this capacity the incumbentis responsible forproviding a variety of outpatient therapy services to members with mental illness addiction disorders and/or trauma will work in conjunction with the treatment team to provide a continuum of services designed to aid in the members recovery Therapist will work on improving the quality ofSUDservices provided within the RESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluatemembersphysical SUDor mental condition through interviewsobservationor SDOH assessments. Guide members in the development of skills or strategies individually or in group sessions to assistin overcomingaddictiondependenciesidentifyingproblems adjusting to life and making changes. Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on membersprogress in resolving identified problems and moving towards definedobjectives. Plan organize or lead structured programs of counseling work study recreationor social activities for members including programs to prevent substance abuse improve community health or counseling services. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate member care and develop treatment plans. Act as membersadvocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Counsel family members to assistthem in understanding dealing with or supporting members. Meet with families probation officers policeor other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process. Gather information about community mental health needs or resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy. Coordinate or direct employee workshops coursesor training about mental health issues. The therapist will be responsible forthe coordination of substance disordergroupsreviews and signs off on assessments serviceplansand discharge summaries within 24 hours of receiving the documents in the electronic health record. Responsible for following any policies procedures and controls establishedby the organization the HIPAA Privacy Officer and/or the HIPAA Security Officerregardingaccess to protection of and the use of the PHI. Gather data required by grant and complete project time tracker. Performs other related duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education Required:Bachelors degree in Behavioral Health Social Work Counseling or a related field Minimum Experience Required:Minimumof2 years in behavioral health substance use treatment or program :Minimum 21years of age. Able to pass a minimum 5 panel drug test & submitto regular screening. DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possessupon hire andmaintainthroughout employment). Maintaina clear Central Registry Background Check. CPR First Aid (mustpossessupon hire andmaintainthroughoutemployment).
