What will you bring
We are looking for a UX Design Manager to lead the execution of the Unum UK UX strategy aligned to business goals and user needs championing UX innovation (including AI-driven solutions) to deliver accessible consistent and best-in-class user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of UX professionals ensuring alignment with product goals and design standards.
Champion user-centred design principles across the organisation influencing senior stakeholders.
Own and evolve the Triple Diamond Design Process driving consistent adoption across product teams.
Establish and maintain UX governance including design standards approval processes and feedback loops.
Own and scale the Design System ensuring consistency quality and adoption across digital products.
Drive Design Operations and AI-driven UX innovation to improve efficiency scalability and ethical user-centred outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
Strong people leadership capabilities and behaviours with relevant experience in people management and coaching strongly desired
Excellent communication and influencing skills with confidence presenting ideas and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Deep understanding of user-centred design principles accessibility standards and design systems at scale.
Advanced proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard UX and design tools.
Strong knowledge of modern web technologies responsive design and mobile-first best practices.
