We are looking for a CX / UX Expert specialized in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Mobile to design standardize and elevate the end-to-end user experience of enterprise dashboards across desktop tablet and mobile devices.
This role focuses on visual excellence data storytelling layout optimization theming and semantic modeling ensuring that analytics solutions are intuitive performant and decision-oriented for both executive and operational users.
The CX / UX Expert will act as a design authority for Power BI experiences working closely with business stakeholders data engineering teams and analytics developers to deliver consistent scalable and high-impact BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power BI UX / CX Design Leadership
Design user-centric dashboards for executives and operational users across Power BI Desktop and Mobile.
Define and enforce UX standards that work consistently across different screen sizes.
Translate business requirements into guided analytical journeys including executive summaries and operational insights.
Promote mobile-first and user-centered BI design principles.
2. Visual Design Layout & Theming (Desktop & Mobile)
Create and maintain Power BI Themes (JSON) compatible with both Desktop and Mobile rendering.
Design responsive layouts adapted for:
Apply best practices for:
KPI cards and micro-charts on mobile
Reduced visual density without losing analytical meaning
Clear hierarchy spacing contrast and interaction cues
3. Power BI Mobile UX Design (Core Responsibility)
Design and maintain dedicated Power BI Mobile View layouts.
Re-architect dashboards for mobile consumption by:
Prioritizing critical KPIs and alerts
Simplifying navigation and interactions
Optimizing vertical storytelling flows
Ensure fast readability on small screens through proper font sizing spacing and contrast.
Validate mobile usability on iOS and Android devices.
Ensure alignment between desktop analytical narratives and mobile executive snapshots.
4. Semantic Models & Data Experience
Design business-oriented semantic models that support clean and efficient visuals.
Ensure KPI definitions and measures remain consistent across Desktop and Mobile views.
Apply DAX best practices to avoid performance issues especially for mobile consumption.
Collaborate with data teams to ensure models support UX and storytelling goals.
5. Advanced Interactions & Mobile-Friendly Navigation
6. Governance Standards & Enablement
Define Power BI UX standards and validation checklists for Desktop and Mobile dashboards.
Act as a UX quality gate before dashboards are published.
Coach and guide BI teams on mobile-first analytics and UX best practices.
Contribute to reusable design assets themes and documentation.

Knowledge of Power BI performance optimization techniques.
