Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire an ICT Server Administrator for our client based Goodwood.
- Support Services (35%)
- Maintain and administer Active Directory Services including AD GPO DHCP DNS ADFS WSUS as well as File and Print Services.
- Assist the ICT Manager with securing the organisations infrastructure and support offerings.
- Manage system backups and provide support for Disaster Recovery within the virtual environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure and the ICT knowledge base.
- Assist with network and server configuration maintenance and ongoing management.
- Provide continuous ICT training to ICT staff on system upgrades and relevant applications as and when required.
- Offer remote ICT support on an ad-hoc basis as operational needs arise.
- Customer Relations (20%)
- Work closely with support vendors to resolve technical issues related to client/server applications.
- Maintain positive customer relationships through professional responsive and solution-oriented engagement.
- Liaise with relevant external vendors to design and develop reports that meet user requirements within the constraints of the client/server applications.
- Maintenance (20%)
- Prepare and submit monthly ICT reports to Management.
- Conduct daily weekly and monthly transaction and incident quality checks.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks in line with established standards procedures and guidelines.
- Self-Development (10%)
- Review evaluate and stay informed on new technologies products and services that may benefit the organisation.
- Prioritise support incidents service requests and preventative maintenance activities to ensure high system uptime and SLA compliance.
- Maintain a clean safe and organised work environment while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Policies and Procedures (15%)
- Familiarise yourself with all company policies and procedures and ensure full compliance.
- Be well-versed in all ICT policies and departmental SOPs with the ability to consult guide and advise employees accordingly.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems as well as network troubleshooting principles.
- CompTIA A and Network certifications (required).
- MCSE certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated passion for IT and a strong self-driven work ethic.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Valid South African ID document.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft technologies including SQL Server WSUS Active Directory DFS and related systems
- Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive and business-critical data.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of honesty integrity and trustworthiness.
- Clear and professional communication with Management as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
Required Skills:
Minimum of a Senior Certificate (Matric) Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills Must reside within close proximity to the Irene office (Gauteng) Must be available to work shifts on a 4-days-on 2-days-off rotation (including weekends)
Required Education:
