Job Responsibilities:
The IT Cloud Engineer role is responsible for the design deployment and ongoing management of Welocalize cloud infrastructure. As a Senior IT Cloud Engineer you will lead the design deployment and ongoing management of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with software engineers system administrators and other key stakeholders to develop and implement advanced cloud solutions. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance scalability and high availability of our cloud services and platforms. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members driving improvements and innovations in our cloud strategy.Responsibilities
Design deploy and manage cloudinfrastructure usingmultiple cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud etc.)
Collaborate with development teams to create and implement cloud solutions and best practices.
Ensure system availability reliability and scalability.
Monitor and manage billing cost optimization and capacity planning.
Conduct performance tuning/right-sizing backup/recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
Implement andmaintaincloud security controls including firewalls IAM roles and secret management.
Automate routine tasks with scripting languages such as PythonPowerShell orInfrastructure as Codesolutions such asTerraform CloudFormation ARM
Assistin the migration of traditional applications to a cloud-based environment.
Create andmaintaindocumentation for cloud architectures procedures and policies.
Ensurecloudenvironmentshave properobservability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesas they arise.
Stayupto dateontechnical trendsrelatedto cloud infrastructuremanagement and operation.
Coach trainand guidejuniorteam members as needed.
Requires general directionwithlittle or no supervision on weeklytasks
Experience Required (Minimum5-7years)
Minimum5-7years of experience in cloud systems engineering or relatedrole
Strong experience working with Azure and related services.
Experience working with AWS and GCPaplus
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
Experiencein using Infrastructure as Code tools such asTerraform
Experience working inGithub.
Strong knowledge ofcloud networking storage and compute components
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong scripting skills in PythonPowerShell or another scripting language.
Cloud related certifications are aplus
