Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage sterile fields for a broad spectrum of surgical cases ensuring accurate instrument counts and instrument handling while maintaining vigilance for patient safety.
- Assist surgeons and scrub nurses by anticipating needs passing instruments promptly preparing implants and supplies and supporting tissue handling and specimen labeling with precision.
- Maintain surgical environments by following strict sterile techniques proper draping room turnover efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
- Adapt to diverse specialties within the OR including general orthopedic gynecologic ENT plastics and more while documenting pertinent perioperative data and communicating clearly with the team.
- Support the anesthesia team as directed assist with patient positioning and participate in postoperative care handoffs to ensure continuity and quality.
