What is expected of YOU:
At LAméricain cooks are expected to execute daily prep and service with precision and consistency under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with a focus on traditional American cuisine. Proficiency in preparing classic American dishes such as burgers chicken flatbreads and seasonal comfort food favorites is essential. Experience with scratch cooking techniques grilling roasting and working with fresh locally sourced ingredients is highly valued. Key responsibilities include participating in line checks maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas and ensuring prep and service align with the Chefs standards. Cooks are expected to follow all health and safety regulations support daily sanitation routines and assist in educating front-of-house staff on daily specials. A strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to success in this role.
Experience YOU will need:
1-2 years of previous pizza cooking experience is preferred
Bi-lingual is a plus
Knowledge of health and sanitation standards
Proper cooking techniques and knife skills
Food Knowledge
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 25 - 30 lbs
Stand for long periods
Navigate crowded spaces
Flexibility in bending and reaching
Adaptability to casino conditions including:
Bright lights
Noise
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
- Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
- Able to obtain/maintain Food Handlers Serv Safe certifications as required by the Lake County Health Department regulations.
