Volunteers either assist with packing nutritious meals at our kitchen hub or hand-deliver them and sharing a friendly check-in. These weekly visits not only ensure reliable access to healthy and nutritious food but also foster genuine two-way social interactions. The opportunityWe are looking for warm reliable volunteers who can relate to and empathise with a diverse range of older people including those from different cultural backgrounds and life Requirements and Your Commitment:Be willing to join a nationwide team delivering social inclusion program within Aged and Community Care. Access to your own vehicle (partial fuel reimbursements provided) for delivery of conversational skills and a respectful inclusive to lift and place food eskies (approx. 10-12 Kgs) in the boot of a vehicle. Respect the privacy rights and dignity of clients and maintain confidentiality with respect to information obtained during the delivery of appropriate digital systems and adhere to established work practices relevant to the timely and appropriate documentation of your interactions with clear professional relationships and respect clear boundaries to safeguard the well-being of the client and in mandatory learning and development to keep your knowledge skills and practices up-to-date in the aged and community care to upholding the principles outlined in the Aged Care Code of Conduct and any subsequent updates. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity by respecting diverse backgrounds and ensuring that all interactions are inclusive and free from discriminationRed Cross will ensure you have training ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the worlds largest humanitarian impactAs a Red Cross Delivered Meals volunteer youll deliver more than just nutritious foodyoull brighten someones day.
