About Lanes Group - Were the UKs largest independent water and wastewater services provider. Since 1992 our 4000 people and cutting-edge fleet have kept the countrys water systems flowing and were continuing to grow fast.
Now lets talk about what youll do:
- Prepare monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- Collaborate with department heads to deliver actionable financial insights and guidance.
- Develop maintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and adherence to financial policies.
- Support year-end audit activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to inform and support key business initiatives.
What youll bring:
- Studying towards ACA ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools and financial systems (e.g. Microsoft D365 NetSuite) preferred.

Salary: Up to 38000
