Role description:
We work with our clients around the world to create support and enhance smart safe and sustainable places where people live work learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of peoples lives. Whether new homes shops workplaces schools and hospitals manufacturing research and development facilities or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live work move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.
- Capital project delivery focus.
- Working as part of a team alongside members of the Cost & Commercial Management Career family to manage and deliver projects.
- Liaising with external contractors and consultants.
- Reporting to clients and stakeholders.
- Will provide cost management services on a mix of medium and large sized hospital developments or significant components of larger cost management assignments.
- Responsible for delivering the scope of work in line with various controls and will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field.
- Our healthcare team also works closely with our life sciences and higher education teams in the delivery of laboratories.
Role accountabilities:
- Coach and mentor team members to raise skills and service quality
- Oversee budgets track costs and produce financial reports
- Deliver small to medium projects or lead key elements of larger assignments within set deadlines
- Advise on risk management and compliance escalating issues as needed
- Analyse data to identify trends and provide recommendations for decision-making
- Share best practices and support service improvement and innovation
- Collaborate effectively across teams and with clients to ensure project success and satisfaction
- Provide technical advice and solutions to senior management
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders understanding their key objectives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in the health sector is valued but not required; a background in delivering technically complex buildings is highly relevant
- Proven ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues demonstrating emerging leadership skills
- Strong track record of building effective relationships with clients and external stakeholders
- Skilled in managing projects through all stages from inception to completion
- Holds a relevant professional qualification or chartered status
